Discover the Number of Decks Used in Online Blackjack

One of the main problems that gamblers face involves determining the number of decks used in online blackjack. The greater the number, the worse the odds for the player become and the higher the house advantage. Most of the time, casinos do not offer up this information outright and you will have to do some digging to figure it out. Rather than spend the time looking for these answers, there is a simple test that you can use to determine how many are being used in any given setting.

The gist is quite simple to understand, really. All you have to do is keep track of the number of hands that are dealt as well as the number of suited pairs that are received. When there is only one in use, then it is obvious that there will be no suited pairs because there are no exact matches to be found. However, when two are used, the ratio climbs to a little less than 5% and when there are four, you can expect to see upwards of a 7% ratio.

If at any point three of the same thing are being shown on the screen, then you know that the number of decks used in online blackjack in this case is four since three is never an option. Most commonly, you will find them in single, double, four, six and eight variations with each one giving the house more of an advantage and making your strategy more difficult to employ in the long run. The only downfall to this strategy is that it can take more than 250 hands to determine this number - and that can take a few hours.
